Full Stack Developer

We are a small, friendly digital agency specialising in high-end web development and custom software applications. We are currently looking for one or two full stack developers to join our team to work on a number of exciting projects.

Who you are

You may have recently graduated from University with a computer science degree, and are keen to get started tackling real-world programming problems, or you may be an experienced programmer who is looking for a new challenge. You will enjoy working in a small team with a wide range of skills and experience. You will be excited about the opportunity to help shape and work on innovative new applications and websites. You will not be afraid to say if you do not understand something – we all work as a team and are keen to help each other learn. You will need to be fluent in English, have good communication skills, and hold a valid UK work visa. Being able to explain complex programming problems in plain English to clients and other staff is a key skill.

Nice to have

• A good understanding of at least one mobile app programming language, or the desire and ability to learn one while on the job
• Ability to write WordPress/Joomla plugins (or learn how to, independently)
• An interest, or willingness, to learn about the UK rail network

What you will be doing

Artonezero and Jnction produce and maintain a wide range of software applications and websites. The role will require you to be involved at different levels across all of these projects. You would be working closely with a front end designer and developer for the majority of the work, so being able to work well within a team is essential. You would be required to develop and maintain our in-house CMS, as well as working with open source CMSs such as WordPress and Joomla.

An interest and/or knowledge of the UK rail network and the associated data feeds is not essential, but would form a large part of the day-to-day role. You will be working on new innovative projects, so the ability to learn quickly and work with large complicated datasets is required.

The ability to turn our design team’s concepts/prototypes into mobile applications for IOS and Android would form the third major responsibility of your role. The programming language required for this would be negotiable.

There will also be some limited involvement in building and customising WordPress/Joomla plugins written in PHP.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00 to £50,000.00 /year
